BDI has been very careful to obtain permission from the copyright holders for the use of photos, illustrations, and other materials on our site. Anyone who notices an image or any other documentary item that they think we are using, through some oversight, in violation of someone's copyright, please let us know by e-mailing us at photo-editor@bdi.org.

We want to express our profound gratitude to Dr. Martin Michener and MIST Software Associates, Inc. of New Hampshire for contributing the illustrations that provided the initial core visual content for our Field Guide to Birds.
